For decades, metal braces were a rite of passage for many teens and even adults. While they’re still around, modern technology offers an alternative for people in need of orthodontics.
In my new video, “Introduction to Invisalign®,” I will show you how this “clear alternative to braces” works to straighten teeth in teens and adults. It talks about the process, how the system works, and how long it will take.
As you may already know, Invisalign® treatment involves wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually move your teeth into position—usually in about a year. But what you may not know is that the technology has improved a great deal since it was introduced in 1999.
In the early days, Invisalign® was used primarily on patients with minor alignment problems. But today, it can be used on most people, even the most severe cases. In fact, there are now several different types of Invisalign® systems. There’s an option designed especially for adolescents (Invisalign® Teen) as well as a system for people who only need minor corrections (Invisalign® Express).
If you’re interested in reading about Invisalign® in depth, www.invisalign.com offers a lot of information. But you might want to start by viewing the “Introduction to Invisalign®” video above, which I created just for my patients who are interested in orthodontics.
